\n\tPierce Brosnan<\/a> has raised the prospect of Doctor Fate<\/a> appearing in Man of Tomorrow, the follow-up to James Gunn<\/a>\u2018s DC Studios reboot Superman<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn an interview with GQ<\/a>, Brosnan said he was open to playing Kent Nelson, aka Doctor Fate, after inhabiting the role in the ill-fated 2022 movie Black Adam<\/a>, starring Dwayne Johnson.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019ve heard that Doctor Fate was going to have his own show, or his own movie. I\u2019ve heard that he\u2019s going to be in the next Superman,\u201d the Irish actor said.<\/p>\n

\n\tAsked if he would consider playing Doctor Fate again, the former James Bond star responded: \u201cI enjoyed that, the philosophy of that character, very much, and I would definitely be open to it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tGunn announced in September that Man of Tomorrow<\/a>\u00a0will bow on July 9, 2027, with David Corenswet and Nicholas Hoult expected to return as Superman\/Clark Kent and Lex Luthor.<\/p>\n

\n\tLittle else is known about the blockbuster, but Gunn has already hinted at a role for Doctor Fate in his reset of the DC universe through a Hall of Justice mural in Superman.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI think Doctor Fate\u2019s in there,\u201d Gunn told the Happy, Sad, Confused podcast. In another interview with Rolling Stone, the director added that a \u201cton of thought\u201d went into the mural.<\/p>\n

\n\tAsked by Rolling Stone if there are plans for all the characters featured, Gunn said: \u201cNot necessarily specifically see all of them, but yes, some of them we already have in the works in different things in different ways.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tDC already has its\u00a0Supergirl\u00a0bowing on June 26, 2026. The studio is also set to go into production on\u00a0Clayface,\u00a0which is set to bow on September 11, 2026.<\/p>\n

\n\tSuperman was considered the reset of the DC Cinematic Universe, with Gunn, the co-head of DC Studios with Peter Safran, also writing the screenplay based on the characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. <\/p>\n
