\"Amaal On a recent episode of ‘Bigg Boss 19’, Amaal Mallik<\/a> spoke candidly about a painful heartbreak that pushed him into clinical depression. In a conversation with co-contestant Farhana Bhatt, he revealed that his former girlfriend\u2019s family objected to their relationship due to religious differences. He also shared that he refused to disrupt her wedding by meeting her that day, as he did not want to bring \u201cdisrespect\u201d to his parents. Unable to move past the relationship, he eventually found himself battling depression. Before entering the ‘Bigg Boss’ house, Amaal was in the news as he had announced breaking his ties with his family. He had also revealed in an earlier interview that that he had to break up with a girl because she and her family had an issue with his Muslim religion. During that period, Amaal had also become distant from his parents. Recalling those difficult days, his father Daboo Mallik explained how he supported his son through the emotional turmoil. He said in an interview with News18 Showsha, \u201cIt\u2019s very important for parents to have such communication with their children and be there for them mentally and physically. After he was diagnosed with depression, I didn\u2019t leave his side. I was by him 24X7. That\u2019s one change I brought about in our relationship,” he shared.<\/p>\n

Spending extended time together not only helped Amaal heal but also strengthened their bond. Daboo added, \u201cSituations like this nudge you to become vocal about your concern towards your children. We connected a lot at that time. During such moments, you cannot fake love. And if you try to pretend, the person in front of you will catch you. When Amaal saw me broken and completely crestfallen, he truly understood that I was there for him. I was there, staying with him for 20-25 days.”He further reflected on the experience as a learning curve for both father and son. \u201cIt also made me understand that when he was growing up, I was also learning how to become a father. I helped him understand that. After that, we bonded and our love grew stronger. I believe that parents should never ignore the small things about their children. There are signs you can\u2019t ignore. The most important thing is to never cut communication but always be there for them.”Although Amaal has clarified on the show that the girlfriend he referred to was imagined, Daboo feels his son is unlikely to pursue romance inside the Bigg Boss house. Earlier episodes had fueled speculation about a potential connection between Amaal and Tanya Mittal, rumours Amaal later dismissed. Responding to the chatter, Daboo said, \u201cI don\u2019t know how things are going to pan out but I don\u2019t think he\u2019s going to get into a romantic relationship with anybody inside the house.”He continued by describing Amaal\u2019s current state of mind in the show, \u201cI\u2019m not getting that vibe from him. I\u2019ve been reading his energies. As a father and a viewer, I feel he\u2019s amused. He\u2019s gauging everyone and is finding it funny that people are wearing his sweaters and fighting over him. He\u2019s smiling at all of it. But I doubt he\u2019s going to get attracted to anybody. Girls in the house are displaying their attraction towards him. But he\u2019s staying calm and sweet.
