Construction is scheduled to begin in 2027 with completion expected by 2030.<\/p>\n The proposed 480,000-square-feet Sanford Black Hills Medical Center campus will include:<\/p>\n 168 inpatient beds Investing in medical education<\/p>\n Starting in 2026, Sanford Health intends to invest $10 million over the next decade to partner with K-12 schools, technical colleges and universities across the Black Hills including:<\/p>\n $2.5 million: Expand the Aspire program to foster students\u2019 interest in health care and provide hands-on learning opportunities for more than 13,000 K-12 students \u201cBuilding a robust and sustainable health care workforce begins with education,\u201d said Kyle Wiese, president and CEO of the Sanford Black Hills region. \u201cThese investments empower local students to pursue\u00a0careers in health care, ensuring the next generation of caregivers is rooted in the communities we serve.\u201d<\/p>\n Caring for the Black Hills region<\/p>\n Today\u2019s announcement further cements Sanford Health\u2019s commitment to the Black Hills region.
