A new option for bargain hunters: Tech giant Google announced Monday the launch of Flight Deals<\/a>, an AI-powered flight search tool. The feature is now available in Israel and in Hebrew through Google Flights. It is initially being offered to some users, and Google says it will roll out to everyone within the next two days.<\/p>\n

\u201cFlight Deals was designed for flexible travelers whose main goal is to save money on their next trip,\u201d Google said. \u201cInstead of playing with dates, destinations and filters to uncover the best deals, you can simply describe when, where and how you want to fly, as if you were talking to a friend, and Flight Deals will take care of the rest.\u201d<\/p>\n

So how does it work? Google explained that users can start by typing a freeform description into the search box, such as \u201ca one-week winter trip to a city with great food, direct flight only\u201d or \u201ca ten-day ski vacation at a high-quality resort with fresh snow.\u201d<\/p>\n

Flight Deals relies on Google\u2019s advanced artificial intelligence to understand the nuances of what you want and identify suitable destinations. It then connects to real-time data from Google Flights to quickly display relevant options from hundreds of airlines and booking sites.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are launching Flight Deals in beta to gather feedback and explore how AI can improve flight planning,\u201d Google said in its announcement. \u201cThe tool will roll out in Israel over the coming week, with no sign-up required. It is available directly on the Flight Deals page or through the top-left menu in Google Flights.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although several platforms have integrated AI into travel in recent years, such as ChatGPT\u2019s collaborations with Kayak and Expedia or the automated assistants from Trip.com and Hopper, most rely on third-party interfaces and produce more general responses. Google\u2019s edge is the combination of a powerful AI language model with Google Flights, one of the world\u2019s most comprehensive and up-to-date pricing databases.<\/p>\n

The result is a tool that can understand everyday, experience-focused requests, such as \u201ca short trip to a city with good food, no connections,\u201d and instantly turn them into real, up-to-date deals from hundreds of airlines and agencies.
