\n\tThree Shah Rukh Khan<\/a> titles will screen in inflatable cinema format for the first time as part of the 56th International Film Festival of India\u2019s (IFFI<\/a>) programming lineup.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe National Film Development Corporation and Entertainment Society of Goa are once again partnering with mobile digital theatre company PictureTime Digiplex for the festival\u2019s inflatable cinema initiative, running Nov. 20-28 in Goa. This year\u2019s programming will feature \u201cChak De! India,\u201d \u201cDarr\u201d and \u201cDilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge\u201d making their inflatable theatre debuts.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe slate spans four categories: Inspirational Films, Indian Panorama Classics, Nostalgia and Children\u2019s Cinema. Contemporary titles include Vidhu Vinod Chopra\u2019s \u201c12th Fail,\u201d Malayalam-language blockbuster \u201cManjummel Boys,\u201d Rajkummar Rao\u2019s \u201cSrikanth,\u201d Rani Mukerji\u2019s \u201cMrs Chatterjee vs Norway\u201d and Sooraj Barjatya\u2019s \u201cUunchai.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tClassic selections feature Satyajit Ray\u2019s \u201cShatranj Ke Khilari,\u201d Mira Nair\u2019s \u201cSalaam Bombay!,\u201d Anup Singh\u2019s \u201cQissa,\u201d Vijay Anand\u2019s \u201cTeesri Manzil\u201d and Yash Chopra\u2019s \u201cChandni\u201d and \u201cKala Patthar,\u201d among others.<\/p>\n

\n\tDaily children\u2019s programming will include \u201cKaphal: Wild Berries,\u201d \u201cGattu,\u201d \u201cBanarasi Jasoos,\u201d \u201cThe Prince and the Crown of Stone\u201d and \u201cNaal 2.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tPictureTime will install its inflatable theatre at Kala Academy, one of IFFI\u2019s main venue hubs, with additional open-air screenings at multiple sites across North and South Goa to enable local residents to access festival programming.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThis year\u2019s programming \u2014 ranging from Shah Rukh Khan\u2019s iconic classics to acclaimed contemporary titles like \u201912th Fail\u2019 and \u2018Manjummel Boys\u2019 \u2014 reflects the diversity and cultural richness of Indian cinema,\u201d said Sushil Chaudhary, founder and CEO of PictureTime Digiplex. \u201cWe are especially excited about the screenings curated for children and young students, because nurturing early audiences is essential for the future of film appreciation.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Kala Academy inflatable theatre is expected to accommodate over 1,000 daily visitors, including international delegates, film professionals, student groups and cinema enthusiasts. Open-air screenings across Goa are projected to draw an additional 300-400 viewers per location each day.<\/p>\n
