Google’s flagship Pixel 10 series is still relatively new in the market. As with any new premium flagship smartphone lineup, the Pixel 10<\/a> landed with a bunch of exclusive features that you can’t find elsewhere. However, Google has a history of keeping the exclusivity relatively short and eventually bringing most (if not all) additions to older Pixel devices.<\/p>\n

We’ve already seen this happen with the Pixel 10-exclusive Journal app<\/a>, which recently expanded to Pixel 8 and Pixel 9 devices<\/a>. Similarly, alongside the long list of features introduced in the November Pixel Drop<\/a>, Google also announced the expansion of the Device health & support dashboard for Pixel 6 through Pixel 9 models. This updated page is now rolling out to those devices.<\/p>\n

As 9to5Google points out<\/a>, it absorbs Tips & support that previously appeared at the bottom of the Settings page. Tips & support will continue to live in the Device health & support dashboard, redirecting users to help topics on their Pixel device.<\/p>\n

Assuming all the options are available on your Pixel, you should see the following options in the Device health & support dashboard:<\/p>\n

Battery health<\/p>\n

Device temperature<\/p>\n

Storage<\/p>\n

Software update<\/p>\n

Charging diagnostics<\/p>\n

Touch diagnostics<\/p>\n

Warranty<\/p>\n

Tips & support<\/p>\n

Contact support<\/p>\n

As the first two screenshots above show, users will be immediately alerted to any issues that need their attention, such as a pending software update. By contrast, users will find “Looks good” and “Your Pixel is in great shape!” at the top of the Device health & support dashboard if things are in order.<\/p>\n

The Device health & support page is live on my Pixel 6a, though it doesn’t include all the options you will find on other models. For instance, options like Battery health, Charging diagnostics, and Touch diagnostics are missing.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the “Need help with your Pixel?” search box is also missing from my Pixel. This search box (when available) works a lot like a standard AI chatbot and supports device-related questions or troubleshooting using natural language, per a Pixel support page<\/a>. The Pixel 6a does include an additional Start a repair option at the bottom of the dashboard, though it may not appear on all Pixel phones.<\/p>\n

9to5Google’s reporting suggests that all these options (except Start a repair) remain available on newer Pixels, as a Pixel 7 Pro at their disposal also lacks Battery health, Charging diagnostics, and Touch diagnostics. One of the footnotes from the November Pixel Drop announcement<\/a> reveals that some “diagnostic capabilities” may not be available across all Pixel models, which could explain the omissions from older Pixel phones.<\/p>\n
