Poehler complimented Grande on the deep friendship she built with Erivo. She noted the challenges of doing press, as every move is scrutinized by the public and women are so often pitted against each other.<\/p>\n
Seeing Grande and Erivo\u2019s close bond despite this \u201cwas really cool, because you have to deal with a lot of people\u2019s energy when they\u2019re talking to you about the stuff that you made,\u201d Poehler said. She added, \u201cAnd also you guys just physically checked in. Like, it\u2019s really sweet how you touch each other. You like to touch in a nonsexual way, in a loving way of supporting each other.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cYes,\u201d Grande confirmed.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou like to hold each other\u2019s hands and be there for each other. It\u2019s very sweet. You like to do that with people. Am I wrong?\u201d Poehler asked.<\/p>\n
\u201cI do, I do,\u201d Grande said. \u201cI channel a lot of energy through my hands. And so I\u2019m always holding a hand. I\u2019m always, like, squeezing a something, as you\u2019ve learned. I\u2019m always reaching for something sometimes.\u201d<\/p>\n
She added that she often squeezes \u201cwho I\u2019m with. Yeah, I like to channel support and energy….I didn\u2019t even notice that it was a thing about me until that thing happened.\u201d<\/p>\n
Poehler cut in, \u201cYou\u2019re talking about when you grabbed Cynthia\u2019s little finger. It was so cute.\u201d<\/p>\n
