Offered from\u00a0Elaine Wynn\u2019s collection, the result reflects the Colombian artist\u2019s surging international visibility, including her participation in the 2024 Venice Biennale and her retrospective, which debuted at the Fondation Cartier in Paris in 2024 before traveling to the Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami earlier this year. A pioneer of textile-based abstraction, Amaral\u2019s architectonic woven compositions have increasingly been reevaluated as central contributions to postwar art.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ a-font-body-m     \">\n\tChristie\u2019s also set\u00a0two other records for sculpture\u00a0during the sale: a new high for a neon\/sculptural work by\u00a0Glenn Ligon, which realized\u00a0$3,125,000, as well as a record for a three-dimensional work by\u00a0Richard Prince, whose\u00a0Untitled (Cowboy)\u00a0sculpture, from 2011, brought\u00a0in $3.4 million.
