\n\tCOMING UP ROSES: Roses were everywhere Thursday night \u2014 decorating dining tables, mantelpieces and the toe boxes of velvet pumps and flats \u2014 as Roger Vivier<\/a> hosted its first dinner at the new Paris headquarters it christened last month<\/a> in a lavish 18th-century mansion on the Left Bank of Paris<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe occasion was to celebrate the exclusive rose-themed holiday capsule<\/a> Vivier created for digital retailer Mytheresa<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tPoured into a long black Victoria Beckham dress with a slashed skirt, French actress Eva Green posed for photographers at the foot of the Maison Vivier\u2019s grand stone staircase. She embraced the evening\u2019s cohosts, Vivier creative director Gherardo Felloni and longtime brand ambassador In\u00e8s de la Fressange, and toured its exhibition and reception spaces before repairing upstairs for dinner. <\/p>\n

\n\tGreen recently wrapped \u201cJust Play Dead,\u201d a movie opposite Samuel L. Jackson filmed in the Canary Islands.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s a comedy about a couple having a crazy relationship, with a lot of great banter,\u201d she related. \u201cIt was very jubilating and lots of fun to do.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAsked about her costumes, she exclaimed: \u201cOh, my god. For the fun parts \u2014 this is so weird \u2014 we ordered a lot of stuff from Mytheresa<\/a>, lots of clothes\u2026. Mytheresa was very present. I\u2019m not saying this because it\u2019s a Mytheresa event!<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt was so quick and so efficient. The costume designer was like, \u2018You should look at Mytheresa\u2019 because my character is an ex-escort, and she wears a lot of expensive clothes,\u201d she related, also confessing that her Beckham dress was purchased online at Mytheresa.<\/p>\n

\n\tAfter mingling with top clients, editors and influencers in attendance, Michael Kliger, chief executive officer of Mytheresa parent LuxExperience, raised a toast and described Vivier as \u201cthe Faberg\u00e9 of footwear.\u201d<\/p>\n
