“In 20 years, I see myself around my pool with my kids running around, having swimming parties as I drink my margaritas with my girlfriends,” Britney added with a laugh.\"Britney<\/p>\n

She went on to say she wanted to be “just like” her mom, Lynne, calling her a “beautiful” person. Getting emotional, Britney said, “She’s such a spiritual person and such a beautiful lady, so I wanna be like her.”\"Lynne<\/p>\n

The clip resurfaced<\/a> on Instagram this week, and many viewers were moved \u2014 and also saddened \u2014 in light of everything Britney has been through since.\"Britney<\/p>\n

As many know, Britney was placed<\/a> in a court-ordered conservatorship in 2008 amid a series of personal struggles, which led to the oversight of everything from her finances to her medical care. Although her father, Jamie, controlled it, Britney later claimed<\/a> it was her mother’s idea, accusing Lynne of “secretly ruin[ing]” her life. “They threw me away,” she said<\/a> of her family. “That’s what I felt \u2014 I felt like my family threw me away.”\"Britney<\/p>\n

Lynne has denied<\/a> wrongdoing, saying she only ever tried to “help” Britney with her “hardships.” However, tensions have reportedly\u00a0remained<\/a>\u00a0high even after the conservatorship ended<\/a> in 2021.<\/p>\n

Britney did become a mom, welcoming sons Sean Preston and Jayden James with her ex-husband Kevin Federline. But that relationship was also complicated. Kevin was granted<\/a> primary custody of the boys in 2008, and in 2023, they moved<\/a> to Hawaii with him.\"Britney<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, Britney revealed<\/a> that she had only seen one of her sons for “45 min in the past 5 years and the other with only 4 visits in the past 5 years,” though she didn’t specify which. Although she supported<\/a> them financially \u2014 including $20,000 per month in child support and other expenses<\/a> \u2014 she said she believes her sons were influenced by the “the lack of respect” that Kevin showed her.\"Britney<\/p>\n
