For the first time in over a decade, Hilary Duff<\/a> is reminding fans what dreams are made of.<\/p>\n

The “Cinderella Story” star announced the release of her first album since 2015, titled “luck\u2026or something.” Duff co-wrote the album alongside her husband and Grammy-winning producer Matthew Koma<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The project, which features the single “Mature<\/a>,” will explore Duff’s journey through adulthood since her Disney Channel days as the “Lizzie McGuire<\/a>” star. “I am often asked how I still have my head on straight after growing up in this industry,” Duff said in a statement. “The album title is my way of answering that question.”<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s luck, but there’s also a lot of weight in the ‘\u2026or something,'” she continued. “Many of the things I’ve been through along the way are held there, and I feel like ultimately that\u2019s what\u2019s shaped me.”<\/p>\n

Hilary Duff drops ‘Mature’: Who is it about?<\/p>\n

Duff kicked off her comeback with the Nov. 6 release of “Mature.” In the bubbly, ’80s-tinged track, the singer recounts a time when she dated someone older than her while she had a naive perception of romance.<\/p>\n

“She looks like sh\u0435 could be your daughter \/ Like me before I got smarter,” Duff sings. “When I was flattered to hear you say \/ ‘You’re so mature for your age, babe.'”<\/p>\n

Though a news release referred to the song as a piece of “autofiction,” the tune prompted speculation that the track was about Duff’s romantic link to Good Charlotte<\/a> rocker Joel Madden<\/a> when she was 16 and he was 25.<\/p>\n

Following their 2006 split, Madden went on to marry\u00a0Nicole Richie<\/a>, and Duff married Koma in 2019 after her split from her ex-husband, retired hockey player Mike Comrie<\/a>.<\/p>\n

However, theories of bad blood were shut down after Richie congratulated Duff on her return to music on her Instagram story on Nov. 11.<\/p>\n

“‘Mature’ is not the word I would use to describe us, but regardless, this song is a BOP,” she wrote alongside a photo of her and Duff lying on the grass laughing.<\/p>\n

When is Hilary Duff’s new album out?<\/p>\n

The Atlantic Records album is scheduled to be released on Friday, Feb. 20, 2026.<\/p>\n
