Up to a third of beds in Roscommon’s psychiatric unit are taken up by people who should be cared for in the community.<\/p>\n

That’s according to Ballygar GP and Fianna F\u00e1il TD Martin Daly, who was speaking in the D\u00e1il this week.<\/p>\n

There are 24 beds in Roscommon’s psychiatric unit – but there are plans for a new 50-bed unit.<\/p>\n

Deputy Daly says there’s a shortage of community care also.<\/p>\n
