{"id":151029,"date":"2025-11-24T22:52:09","date_gmt":"2025-11-24T22:52:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/151029\/"},"modified":"2025-11-24T22:52:09","modified_gmt":"2025-11-24T22:52:09","slug":"tvs-yorkshire-vet-julian-norton-backing-mental-health-campaign","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/151029\/","title":{"rendered":"TV&#8217;s Yorkshire Vet Julian Norton backing mental health campaign"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Skaith recently visited York Men&#8217;s Shed, a project in the city set up to offer men somewhere to get together, learn new skills and open up.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Peter Doherty said he was encouraged to join the project by his wife after he retired and the couple moved to York.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;It&#8217;s rewarding &#8211; if you can help somebody it gives you both a boost,&#8221; Mr Doherty said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Stuart Crossland said he joined the project because he needed &#8220;something to do&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;You can&#8217;t stay in the house staring at four walls,&#8221; he said. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;Mental health didn&#8217;t exist when I was young, you just had to get on with it.
