\n\tFX<\/a> is heading into the world(s) of Far Cry<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Disney-owned outlet has picked up a Far Cry series based on the video game franchise from executive producers and FX stalwarts Noah Hawley<\/a> (Alien: Earth, Fargo) and Rob Mac<\/a> (It\u2019s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Welcome to Wrexham) and FX Productions. Like the games, the show will be an anthology, with Mac set to star in the first season. <\/p>\n

\n\tFar Cry will stream on Hulu<\/a> in the U.S. and Disney+ in other parts of the world. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cFX has had magnificent partnerships with Rob Mac and Noah Hawley for a combined six series and 32 seasons of television, and we couldn\u2019t be more excited that they are teaming up for\u00a0Far Cry,\u201d FX Entertainment president\u00a0Nick Grad said in a statement.\u00a0\u201cI have no doubt that they will tell this story in a way that is original, gripping and wildly entertaining. We also want to thank our partners at Ubisoft for entrusting us with this beloved property.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tPlot details for the first season are being kept quiet. FX does note, though, that the show\u2019s format will follow that of the games, \u201cwith each season in a new setting [and] following a new cast of characters.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cGetting to work alongside Noah Hawley is a dream realized,\u201d said Mac. \u201cUbisoft has been remarkably generous, entrusting us with one of the most iconic video-game worlds ever created. \n\tHawley, who recently signed a new overall deal<\/a> with FX and Disney Entertainment Television, executive produces via his 26 Keys company. Mac executive produces through his More Better Productions.
