Recalling the legendary actor, Ameesha Patel<\/a> shared one of the last conversations she had with Dharmendra. The actress mentioned how he always called her his \u2018Sakina\u2019 (Ameesha\u2019s character from \u2018Gadar,\u2019 where she shared the screen with Sunny Deol). Emphasising the warmth the actor carried in his heart, Ameesha added, \u201cEvery time he would meet me, he would hug me and say, \u2018Arrey meri Sakina!\u2019 He always made me feel as if I was part of the Deols.” Speaking of the Deol family, she described them as one of the finest and most amazing people in the industry. She credited Dharamendra for the values of his family. \u201cHe had the cutest smile. He would give me the sweetest words of encouragement. I would light up seeing him,” she continued.Ameesha Patel\u2019s association with the Deols goes way backAmeesha shared that she was supposed to make my debut as the female lead with Vijeta Films, titled \u2018Samah.\u2019 All this happened before \u2018Gadar,\u2019 and in the said movie, Jackie Shroff was supposed to play her. \u201cI interacted a lot with Dharam ji then. I used to be in and out of Sunny Super Sound. I would\u2019ve lunch with him. He always thought of me as part of his family. He always used to say, \u2018Ameesha mere ghar ki beti hai,\u2019” shared the actress. At the end of her conversation, Ameesha paid tribute to the late actor. She said Dharmendra\u2019s demise has created a void, and he will be dearly missed. \u201cThe Indian film industry<\/a> has not just lost an iconic actor and the most handsome man probably on this planet, but also a legendary human being.
