{"id":157812,"date":"2025-11-28T17:56:16","date_gmt":"2025-11-28T17:56:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/157812\/"},"modified":"2025-11-28T17:56:16","modified_gmt":"2025-11-28T17:56:16","slug":"mental-health-cafe-opens-in-limerick-for-people-needing-support","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/157812\/","title":{"rendered":"Mental Health caf\u00e9 opens in Limerick for people needing support"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>        <a href=\"https:\/\/www.live95fm.ie\/news\/live95-news\/\" class=\"c-btn c-btn--small c-btn--secondary-fill\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><\/p>\n<p>        All Live95 News<br \/>\n    <\/a><\/p>\n<p>                <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aiir-c-news-figure__image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/6929a4e880f02.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"aiir-c-news-article__abstract\">\n            The caf\u00e9 is staffed by trained support workers and peer connectors.\n        <\/p>\n<p>HSE Mid West has announced the opening of Solace Caf\u00e9, a free, confidential, out-of-hours non-clinical mental health service for adults in Limerick City.<\/p>\n<p>The service is located at the Limerick Mental Health Association (LMHA) headquarters at Sarsfield Bridge, in the former premises of the Pier One Hotel.<\/p>\n<p>In its pilot phase, Solace Caf\u00e9 is open from 6 PM to midnight, Thursday to Sunday.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"5\">Adults who are experiencing emotional distress, anxiety, or feeling overwhelmed can book one-hour support sessions through a simple text or telephone process.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"5\">The caf\u00e9 is staffed by trained support workers and peer connectors.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"5\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/6929a51f5341e.jpg\" style=\"\"\/><\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"5\">People accessing support will learn about coping strategies and access a range of supports, including one-to-one, peer, psychosocial, and recovery supports.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"5\">The new Limerick service is the latest of five such caf\u00e9-based pilot initiatives running nationally as part of the HSE Crisis Resolution Services model.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"5\">The service is bookable by telephone on 061 446786 or by text\/WhatsApp to 085 2612025.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"5\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/6929a4e87d4e1.jpg\" style=\"\"\/><\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"7\">Ian Hackett, CEO of Limerick Mental Health Association, said: \u201cThis facility represents a safe, welcoming space where people can find support, connection, and calm during difficult moments&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"7\">He added that the service is &#8220;more than just a caf\u00e9\u2014it\u2019s a lifeline for those who need it&#8221;.
