Dr. Rahmeh Aladwan, 31, a doctor in Britain\u2019s National Health Service, has been suspended as investigators examine a series of antisemitic remarks and expressions of support for terror that she posted online. <\/p>\n
Aladwan, a surgical and orthopedic trainee and trauma specialist, is accused of publishing hateful content on social media aimed at Israel and at British Jews. She was suspended from her job for 15 months.<\/p>\n
Aladwan was summoned to a hearing before a medical tribunal after concerns were raised about her fitness to practice medicine because of her online activity. According to the allegations, she posted a series of messages on X in which she wrote about \u201cJewish supremacy,\u201d called Israelis \u201cworse than the Nazis\u201d and voiced support for Hamas and the October 7 massacre.<\/p>\n
She also wrote that October 7 was a day in which Israel was \u201chumiliated,\u201d while Hamas terrorists were described as \u201coppressed resistance fighters, not terrorists\u201d and as \u201cmartyrs.\u201d In another post she wrote, \u201cI would join the Palestinian armed resistance now.\u201d In other messages she refused to condemn Hamas, the Oct. 7 massacre or what she called \u201cresistance to occupation.\u201d<\/p>\n
In additional posts, she referred to Britain\u2019s chief rabbi, Ephraim Mirvis, as a \u201cgenocide murderer,\u201d and claimed that media attention after the Yom Kippur attack at a synagogue in Manchester, in which two Jews were killed, was an example of \u201cJewish supremacy.\u201d \u201cApparently, the lives of four Jews in Manchester matter more than the lives of 53 Muslims in Gaza,\u201d she wrote at the time. \u201cThis is racism and Jewish supremacy. This is Western civilization.\u201d<\/p>\n
In other posts, Aladwan said the Holocaust was a \u201cfabricated victim narrative,\u201d claimed that \u201cZionism\u201d aligns with \u201cNazism,\u201d and described the Jewish people as \u201cthe most despicable people\u201d on Earth.<\/p>\n
