{"id":158798,"date":"2025-11-29T07:46:06","date_gmt":"2025-11-29T07:46:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/158798\/"},"modified":"2025-11-29T07:46:06","modified_gmt":"2025-11-29T07:46:06","slug":"lili-reinhart-reveals-she-feels-suicidal-the-week-before-her-period-due-to-pmdd-lili-reinhart-celebrity-news-and-gossip-entertainment-photos-and-videos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/158798\/","title":{"rendered":"Lili Reinhart Reveals She Feels \u2018Suicidal\u2019 The Week Before Her Period Due to PMDD | Lili Reinhart | Celebrity News and Gossip | Entertainment, Photos and Videos"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.justjared.com\/tags\/lili-reinhart\/\" title=\"Lili Reinhart\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Lili Reinhart<\/a> is getting refreshingly candid about her mental health.<\/p>\n<p>The 29-year-old Hal &amp; Harper star was on Tuesday\u2019s episode of the Reclaiming with Monica Lewinsky podcast, sharing how she\u2019s been centering her wellbeing, especially after stopping her birth control and anti-depressants.<\/p>\n<p>Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen I went off my anti-depressants, I realized I had a plethora of other things that were being subdued by medication,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n<p>While she was pleased to know that her medications were doing something, she also realized she had \u201creally bad\u201d Attention-Deficit\/Hyperactivity Disorder and \u201chorrible\u201d Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder, also known as PMDD.<\/p>\n<p>One of the hallmarks of PMDD is severe depression. Lili told Monica that she feels \u201csuicidal\u201d during the week before her period.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd I didn\u2019t know that I felt that way until I wasn\u2019t on medication. But people go on those meds and birth control to suppress that feeling, so it makes sense I went off birth control and anti-depressants and suddenly I felt those feelings,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Once she became aware of the feelings \u201cbubbling under the surface,\u201d Lili was able to take steps to manage them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m on the clock with it and understand, \u2018Okay this is the day that it\u2019s maybe gonna happen, let\u2019s be careful with ourselves a few days prior,\u2019\u201d the Riverdale alum shared. \u201cAnd I write it down in my little notes app. I keep track of my symptoms and the day I actually get it and stuff like that, so I can sort of track what day am I gonna feel the worst.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.justjared.com\/2025\/11\/24\/lili-reinhart-attends-screening-conversation-about-her-acclaimed-series-hal-harper\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Check out the photos of Lili from the recent SAG-AFTRA Foundation Conversations: Hal &amp; Harper event in New York!<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Lili Reinhart is getting refreshingly candid about her mental health.
