{"id":159546,"date":"2025-11-29T18:34:07","date_gmt":"2025-11-29T18:34:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/159546\/"},"modified":"2025-11-29T18:34:07","modified_gmt":"2025-11-29T18:34:07","slug":"running-52-marathons-gives-me-purpose-after-mental-health-crisis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/159546\/","title":{"rendered":"Running 52 marathons &#8216;gives me purpose&#8217; after mental health crisis"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">He said he hoped sharing his experience would help others struggling with their mental health.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Mr Greenhouse chose to run a marathon in each of England&#8217;s 48 counties, with four additional marathons in Cardiff, Istanbul, Dubai and at Egypt&#8217;s Pyramids of Giza.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">He had to complete four of the runs in just nine days after taking six weeks off to recover from an injury.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">He said the challenge had made him realise how mentally strong he was to get through his struggles with depression.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;Although I&#8217;m physically running marathons now, I was mentally running marathons for a year straight four years ago,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;Most of these marathons have been easier than getting into uni, when I used to shake at the thought of social interaction and getting up, brushing my teeth.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"He said he hoped sharing his experience would help others struggling with their mental health.
