ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) \u2013 Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has said that the ceasefire agreement in Gaza is being criticized as one-sided because Israeli forces continue to violate it and are killing Palestinians, including children.<\/p>\n
In a post on social media site X, he said that since the ceasefire came into effect on October 10, at least 352 Palestinians have been killed. Since the beginning of the war, more than 70,000 people in Gaza have lost their lives.<\/p>\n
He said that the agreement signed in Egypt\u2019s Sharm El-Sheikh was intended to bring stability to the region, but Israel\u2019s actions have raised questions about its intention to comply with the agreement.<\/p>\n
He wrote that Amnesty International has warned that Israel\u2019s acts of genocide have not stopped, and that the international community \u2014 especially Western governments \u2014 must continue to put pressure on Israel to adhere to international law.<\/p>\n
The defence minister said that the Muslim countries that supported the agreement \u2014 Turkey, Egypt, and Qatar \u2014 may need to reconsider their stance in light of the ongoing violence. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdo\u011fan has already expressed concern.<\/p>\n
