Apple\u2019s next iPhone update<\/a> is now just days away. Not only does it add new emergency alerts, tailored to your location<\/a>, but it also brings a major change to AirDrop. This comes just weeks after Google reverse engineered Apple\u2019s technology, enabling Android phones to connect with iPhones over Apple\u2019s protocol for the first ever time.<\/p>\n iOS 26.2 is widely expected to hit iPhones by mid-December, the exact date is yet to be confirmed. The beta doesn\u2019t yet enable codes to be generated and used, but it\u2019s there.<\/p>\n \u201cThere are already options to turn AirDrop off entirely,\u201d MacRumors<\/a> explains, \u201climit AirDrop to contacts only, or turn AirDrop on for everyone for 10 minutes.
