Two of Britain\u2019s most glamorous new female stars will go head to head for the prestigious Brits Rising Star award – hoping to follow in the footsteps of Adele<\/a>, Jessie J<\/a> and Sam Smith<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Striking upcoming singers Rose Gray and Sienna Spiro are among the three nominees, along with Scottish songwriter Jacob Alon.<\/p>\n

The shortlist is set to be officially unveiled next week while the winner will be announced at the forthcoming ceremony, held this year in Manchester for the first time on February 28.<\/p>\n

Rose, 28, released her debut full album this year after gaining an impressive reputation on the club scene while Sienna, 20, attracted attention sharing videos on social media platform TikTok<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Non-binary folk artist Jacob, who uses them\/they pronouns completes the trio of hopefuls for the coveted award – previously named Critics Choice.<\/p>\n

The award helped catapult the careers of fellow former winners Ellie Goulding<\/a>, Florence and the Machine<\/a>, Emelie Sande and Rag N Bone Man.<\/p>\n

As one music source explained: ‘The winner of the awards tends to go on to pretty big things so it\u2019s a massive deal to be nominated.’<\/p>\n

‘Rose and Sienna are both glamorous female artists and would definitely be the favourite pairing, Jacob is definitely the quirkier choice.’<\/p>\n

Several of the award\u2019s runners up have also gone on to have massive success, including Dua Lipa and Lewis Capaldi.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s ceremony will move to Manchester to celebrate the city\u2019s contribution to British music – however some insiders fear organisers will struggle to attract A-listers to attend the televised event because most of them live in the capital.<\/p>\n

The two year deal will see the annual awards held at the city\u2019s Co-Op Live venue – with a host yet to be announced, having been presented in 2025 by Jack Whitehall for a fifth time.<\/p>\n

The awards moved to London\u2019s O2 Arena in 2012 having precision been held at Earls Court exhibition centre.<\/p>\n
