And yet, more American homes and businesses are getting their power from renewable sources than ever before \u2014 and in greater amounts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ArticleBodyText_articleBodyContent__17wqE typography_articleBody__3UcBa\" data-component=\"paragraph\">In June, almost <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eia.gov\/electricity\/monthly\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" class=\"media-ui-Link_link-tVkXhPLPofs-\" data-component=\"link\">one-quarter<\/a> of US power generation was green, up from 18% in the year-earlier period, according to data compiled from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eia.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" class=\"media-ui-Link_link-tVkXhPLPofs-\" data-component=\"link\">the US Energy Information Administration<\/a>.
