{"id":167193,"date":"2025-12-04T05:35:08","date_gmt":"2025-12-04T05:35:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/167193\/"},"modified":"2025-12-04T05:35:08","modified_gmt":"2025-12-04T05:35:08","slug":"dunedin-ed-location-of-interest-in-measles-outbreak","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/167193\/","title":{"rendered":"Dunedin ED location of interest in measles outbreak"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Dunedin measles case notified yesterday has been linked to emergency department of the city&#8217;s hospital.<\/p>\n<p>The number of known measles cases nationally\u00a0is now\u00a028, of whom\u00a022\u00a0are no longer infectious, Health NZ said.<\/p>\n<p>Among new locations of interest published today is an exposure at Dunedin Hospital ED\u00a0Waiting Room and Triage\u00a0on\u00a0Tuesday, November 2 between\u00a01:pm and 2:30pm.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The National Public Health Service was also working to\u00a0establish\u00a0any links between the\u00a0latest measles cases\u00a0and any known cases or locations of interest.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;While our case investigations including genotyping are continuing, it is highly likely based on our information to date that several of the cases confirmed yesterday can be linked back to the exposure event at Auckland Airport Domestic Terminal on Monday November 17 between 4am and 9:30am.&#8221;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Anyone who may have been in Auckland Airport Domestic Terminal on that date was urged to\u00a0monitor\u00a0for symptoms and follow the advice on the<a href=\"https:\/\/info.health.nz\/health-topics\/conditions-treatments\/infectious-diseases\/measles\/locations-of-interest?regions=&amp;transport_types=&amp;exposure_types=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\"> Locations of interest page<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Anyone who developed symptoms of measles, including\u00a0runny nose,\u00a0fever,\u00a0cough,\u00a0\u00a0and\u00a0sore\u00a0red eyes, and a rash starting at the face, should contact Healthline on 0800 611 116, or their usual healthcare provider.\u00a0 \u2014 Allied Media<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Dunedin measles case notified yesterday has been linked to emergency department of the city&#8217;s hospital.
