Earlier this year<\/a>, Gwyneth Paltrow<\/a> seemed to shade the idea of intimacy coordinators. \u201cI don\u2019t know how it is for kids who are starting out, but \u2026 if someone is like, \u2018Okay, and then he\u2019s going to put his hand here,\u2019 I would feel, as an artist, very stifled by that,\u201d she told Vanity Fair<\/a>, adding that she came up in a time when the vibe on-set was \u201cyou get naked, you get in bed, the camera\u2019s on.\u201d Turns out, she wasn\u2019t saying intimacy coordinators are bad; she was saying she\u2019s old. \u201cWhat I meant was that I was totally surprised, like, who is this person?\u201d Paltrow said to The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>. \u201cI think all of the protections that came from the #MeToo movement are great, but for me, personally, I was not used to that.\u201d<\/p>\n Marty Supreme<\/a> is Paltrow\u2019s first movie gig in years, and the rise of intimacy coordinators was confusing for her in the same way Teams is weird for chronically offline coworkers. \u201cIt\u2019s like, \u2018OK, now he\u2019s going to squeeze your boob,\u2019 or whatever, and I felt more embarrassed talking about it than just doing it,\u201d Paltrow said of her experience \u2014 an experience she doesn\u2019t necessarily think was good or chill. Later in the interview, she discussed working closely with Harvey Weinstein<\/a>, even after he allegedly sexually harassed her when she was 22<\/a>.
