\u201cI watched Joe shovel snow in our driveway for two and half hours yesterday,\u201d O\u2019Connor, 36, tells PEOPLE. \u201cIt was the hottest thing I\u2019ve ever seen.\u201d<\/p>\n
During an exclusive conversation with PEOPLE, the actress confirmed she and the Magic Mike<\/a> star recently moved from Los Angeles to Pittsburgh, where they both grew up \u2014 specifically to the suburb of Mount Lebanon, Penn.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was the first snow of the season in Mount Lebanon and it was\u2026 It\u2019s like a postcard here. I\u2019ve never been in a more beautiful neighborhood in Pittsburgh,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n John Parra\/Getty<\/p>\n Joe Manganiello and Caitlin O’Connor<\/p>\n She adds the \u201cyellow cobblestone road\u201d adds to the \u201cidyllic\u201d nature of the community. But seeing Manganiello in the snow is another bonus.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was just the hottest thing I\u2019ve ever seen,\u201d she says. \u201cHe definitely has kept his hottest bachelor<\/a> title that [PEOPLE] gave him, but how I\u2019m feeling, I\u2019m gonna take that title back because we\u2019re getting married.\u201d<\/p>\n O\u2019Connor tells PEOPLE that what really \u201cconnects\u201d them as a couple is sharing the \u201csame upbringing\u201d and the \u201csame hometown knowledge,\u201d adding \u201cit\u2019s beautiful to be back home together.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI mean, L.A. has been both of our homes for over 20 years,\u201d she says. \u201cI was born in L.A., but raised in Pittsburgh, so we’re both from the same hometown.\u201d<\/p>\n For the holidays, O\u2019Connor says expecting she and Manganiello are expecting a \u201cbig family celebration,\u201d and that family is either traveling to Pittsburgh for Christmas or already live in the area.<\/p>\n JOE MANGANIELLO\/Instagram<\/p>\n Caitlin O’Connor and Joe Manganiello<\/p>\n It will also be an opportunity for the couple to display their impressive collection of holiday decorations.<\/p>\n “Joe and I have been sort of on a world tour<\/a> since we met. We’ve traveled a lot … to over 70 cities in the last two years,” O’Connor says. “So we have ornaments from all over the world. We try to collect a piece of art from all over the world and bring it back.”<\/p>\n She adds: \u201cIt\u2019s been amazing to be with a partner who travels so much.
