After reports<\/a> that Meghan Markle reached out to her estranged father, Thomas Markle, as he underwent an emergency leg amputation surgery in the Philippines, one person is calling the Duchess\u2019s bluff.<\/p>\n

In a series of posts on X<\/a>, Meghan\u2019s 61-year-old half-sister Samantha Markle called the story \u201clikely a PR stunt because of public scrutiny,\u201d and said, \u201cBelieve it if he\u2019s put on a private jet and put into one of the best hospitals in the United States for care. Until then don\u2019t hold your breath.\u201d<\/p>\n

In one post, Samantha seemingly suggested that Meghan, 44, has not actually reached out to Thomas, 81, writing, \u201c\u2018Houston\u2019 there\u2019s been no contact\u2026 Time to stop the PR b******* Medusa.\u201d She then went on to criticize the As Ever founder and Prince Harry\u2019s past responses to world events, writing \u201cAre we shocked? Disaster tourism much? No surprise\u2026.\u201d<\/p>\n

When UK journalist\u2014and longtime Meghan adversary\u2014Dan Wootton chimed in<\/a> saying that he suspects Meghan released the story about contacting her father \u201cto steal attention from\u201d her sister in law Kate Middleton, Samantha responded, \u201cExactly unless they prove intent with action and put them in the best possible medical Care.\u201d<\/p>\n
