FIRST Citizens has officially launched Google Pay in Trinidad and Tobago, marking the first-ever introduction of the service in the country.<\/p>\n
According to a release from First Citizens, this milestone reinforces its position as a leader in \u201cdigital banking and innovation, delivering faster, safer, and more convenient, payment experiences for customers and merchants.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWith this launch, First Citizens credit card holders can now make payments directly from their Android phones or smart devices, transforming everyday transactions with a simple tap,\u201d it stated.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs a forward-thinking financial institution, First Citizens is proud to deliver Google Pay to Trinidad and Tobago, elevating the way our customers pay through smarter, safer, and frictionless digital experiences,\u201d said Group CEO Jason Julien.<\/p>\n

Google Pay allows users to create a digital wallet and link their First Citizens credit or prepaid cards to their mobile devices, enabling secure contactless payments both in-store and online.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis solution provides enhanced speed, convenience, and advanced security features\u2014perfectly suited to the expectations of today\u2019s tech-savvy, on-the-go customers,\u201d First Citizens stated.<\/p>\n
First Citizens encouraged customers to embrace this \u201cnew, more convenient way to pay using their phones as their new credit cards.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cBy simply tapping to pay with Google Pay, they can enjoy a faster, easier, and seamless transaction experience,\u201d the bank said in its release.<\/p>\n
First Citizens said merchants across Trinidad and Tobago could now accept Google Pay transactions, benefiting from faster checkout times, reduced fraud risk, and a modern, digital-first customer experience.<\/p>\n
