Journey, a global design and innovation studio<\/a> pioneering multidimensional experiences (MDX), has acquired Dimension Studio, a UK-based creative technology company specialising in virtual production for film and episodic TV, animation, LBE, and live experiences. <\/p>\n

This milestone marks a vital step in Journey\u2019s vision to reimagine design across mediums and to create lasting value for both audiences and partners.<\/p>\n

Journey works to reshape the experiences that connect people, brands, and culture, by addressing today\u2019s most complex creative problems with innovative design solutions.<\/p>\n

This approach elevates and energises human experiences, as seen in the studio’s immersive storytelling at the Empire State Building, its reimagining of opera in The Adventures of Kavalier & Clay, enhanced visitor engagement at Sphere, or envisioning of future urban destinations like Qiddiya<\/a>.<\/p>\n

With this acquisition, Journey enhances its capacity to expand globally, utilising Dimension\u2019s UK base, international reach, and production infrastructure to support clients across the world. <\/p>\n

It also underscores Journey\u2019s experience-driven strategy by integrating Dimension\u2019s cutting-edge technological expertise. Collectively, the teams will drive the next wave of immersive experiences, digital humans, spatial storytelling, and large-scale industry innovation.<\/p>\n

For over a decade, Dimension has led the way in real-time production for blockbuster films, immersive media, and live experiences. The team is a creative and technical pioneer in end-to-end virtual production, making it a natural partner for Journey. <\/p>\n

Delivering multidimensional experiences<\/p>\n

Dimension operates at the crossroads of real-time technologies, production, and AI, delivering speed, flexibility, and high-quality visuals for content creation.<\/p>\n

As a leader in Unreal Engine\u2013powered, AI-enabled animation, the studio speeds up production by utilising rapid iteration, virtual environments, and seamless collaboration. <\/p>\n

It also leverages real-time tools for concerts, LBE, and multi-venue activations, enabling creative teams and event producers to visualise, plan, and deliver top-tier live experiences.<\/p>\n

This fluency across craft, technology, and scale reinforces Journey\u2019s aim to deliver multidimensional experiences across the world.<\/p>\n

Based in London and operating internationally, Dimension has worked with major studios, including Disney,<\/a> Netflix, Amazon, Apple TV+, and Sony Pictures. <\/p>\n

In addition to its own projects currently in production, the studio\u2019s recent film and TV offerings include Those About To Die for Amazon, Masters of the Air for Apple TV+, Robert Zemeckis\u2019 Here, Universal Pictures’ Wicked parts 1 and 2, and Taika Waititi\u2019s Time Bandits. <\/p>\n

The team behind Dimension Live has completed recent projects for international artists such as R\u00f6yksopp and Floating Points, as well as major live events, including the Glastonbury Festival.<\/p>\n

The transaction was supported by private equity firm Growth Catalyst Partners (GCP), which focuses on investments in tech-enabled creative businesses. Additionally, Journey has entered into a new lending relationship with Eldridge, an asset management and insurance holding company.<\/p>\n
