Some haircuts never go out of style. A layered Farrah Fawcett-esque chop\u2014also known as \u201cThe Butterfly Cut\u201d is one of them. Supermodel Bella Hadid is the latest convert to the retro style.<\/p>\n

Hadid dropped in on the pop-up Orebella Ornament Shop in Texas (sadly, only open for the weekend), which was stocked with her own brand of fragrances. Arriving with cowboy boyfriend Adan Banuelos, she debuted a new, bouncy butterfly cut.<\/p>\n

It may look effortless, but mastering this style requires some attention to detail. \u201cFocusing on framing the face, short layers are cut in at the front, and they get longer towards the back,\u201d Jake Wanstall, hairstylist at Larry King<\/a>, previously shared with Vogue. The hairstyle features a \u201cshattered baseline,\u201d which is achieved with a razor for added texture.<\/p>\n

Iterations of the butterfly cut, from longer versions to chin-grazing layered bobs, have been very popular over the past two years. A-listers Selena Gomez, Jenna Ortega and Hadid\u2019s own sister, Gigi, have each dipped a toe into the trend.<\/p>\n
