{"id":176480,"date":"2025-12-09T20:31:12","date_gmt":"2025-12-09T20:31:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/176480\/"},"modified":"2025-12-09T20:31:12","modified_gmt":"2025-12-09T20:31:12","slug":"charlotte-area-hospitals-implement-visitor-restrictions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/176480\/","title":{"rendered":"Charlotte-area hospitals implement visitor restrictions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>CaroMont Health and Atrium Health are limiting hospital visitors due to a significant increase in respiratory illnesses across the Carolinas.<\/p>\n<p>GASTON COUNTY, N.C. \u2014 Multiple health care providers announced visitor restrictions at hospitals across the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wcnc.com\/local\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Charlotte area<\/a> due to a significant rise in flu and RSV cases.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>CaroMont Regional Medical Center, CaroMont Regional Medical Center-Belmont and CaroMont Regional Medical Center-Mount Holly will implement these restrictions starting at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 9.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>All visitors must meet the following conditions:\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Be 13 or olderHave no symptoms of respiratory illness, including flu, RSV or COVID-19Comply with all guidance related to infection control processes and follow directions from hospital staff members                    <\/p>\n<p>These temporary measures are in place to protect patients and will remain until respiratory illnesses begin to decrease.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Atrium Health is also implementing temporary visitor restrictions at hospitals, emergency departments, rehab facilities, hospice centers and infusion clinics.
