In the footage, Combs put Agnifilo on speakerphone while he expressed his frustrations over his looming indictment.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_18-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> &#8220;I&#8217;m having this emergency call, because something has to give,&#8221; Combs told Agnifilo. The lawyer urged Combs to stick to the &#8220;core theme&#8221; that he &#8220;didn\u2019t do anything wrong on any front&#8221; and that he came to the city to &#8220;face things head on&#8221; with &#8220;complete honor.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_20-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> &#8220;I don\u2019t think it&#8217;s working,&#8221; Combs quipped. &#8220;I\u2019ve listened, I\u2019ve been a superb client. One thing about Sean Combs is that he\u2019s always filming himself, and it\u2019s been an obsession throughout the decades. We also reached out to Sean Combs\u2019 legal team for an interview and comment multiple times, but did not hear back.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_56-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> 50 Cent has also emphasized the importance of keeping their source confidential. &#8220;I figure most journalists would not disclose their sources,&#8221; he told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=6CI4XK8NIvU&amp;t\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"externalLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">NBC News<\/a> in an interview aired Dec. 1.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_58-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> The rapper reiterated his intentions during his GQ interview when the reporter asked him how he obtained the footage. &#8220;You&#8217;re a journalist, right? You&#8217;re not going to reveal your sources, so why would you ask me to reveal my sources?&#8221; 50 Cent said.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_60-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> &#8220;But look, you know that when you&#8217;re part of the culture that things will come to you faster than something that&#8217;s not,&#8221; he added. &#8220;Because whoever he&#8217;ll be working with, it is usually [someone] in or around the culture, so, it surfaced.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>  What has Diddy&#8217;s team alleged about the footage?  <\/p>\n<p> Sean Combs in &#8216;Sean Combs: The Reckoning&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>Netflix<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_64-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> On Dec. 1 \u2014 just one day before the docuseries hit Netflix \u2014 Combs&#8217; lawyers sent a cease-and-desist letter demanding that the streamer cancel the launch of the series. In the letter, Combs&#8217; attorneys alleged that the footage had been illicitly obtained and violated contractual agreements.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_66-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> &#8220;The footage was created for an entirely different purpose, under an arrangement that was never completed, and no rights were ever transferred to Netflix,&#8221; Engelmayer claimed in a statement to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/pop-culture\/pop-culture-news\/curtis-50-cent-jackson-speaks-diddy-feud-secret-video-ahead-netflix-do-rcna246794\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"externalLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">NBC News<\/a>. &#8220;A payment dispute between outside parties does not create permission for Netflix to use unlicensed, private material. None of this footage came from Mr. Combs or his team, and its inclusion raises serious questions about how it was obtained and why Netflix chose to use it.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_68-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> Engelmayer further slammed Netflix for its alleged &#8220;reckless disregard.&#8221; Combs&#8217; representatives further accused the streamer of creating a &#8220;shameful hit piece&#8221; with alleged &#8220;stolen footage that was never authorized for release.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_70-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> Meanwhile, Netflix has maintained that the footage was gathered legally.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_72-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> &#8220;The claims being made about Sean Combs: The Reckoning are false,&#8221; a Netflix rep told <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2025\/tv\/news\/netflix-slams-diddys-claims-sean-combs-the-reckoning-1236598168\/\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"externalLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Variety<\/a> in a statement in early December. &#8220;The project has no ties to any past conversations between Sean Combs and Netflix. The footage of Combs leading up to his indictment and arrest were legally obtained.
