Vicky previously worked with Aditya Dhar on the 2019 hit Uri: The Surgical Strike, based on the Indian Army\u2019s 2016 surgical strikes following the attacks in Uri.<\/p>\n
Fan theories link Dhurandhar to Uri<\/p>\n
In recent days, fans have discussed a possible link between Dhurandhar and Uri. In Dhurandhar, Ranveer plays Hamza, an undercover operative chosen by an Indian intelligence chief (R. Madhavan) to infiltrate Rehman Dakait\u2019s (Akshaye Khanna) gang in Lyari, Pakistan.
The climax reveals that Hamza is actually Jaskirat Singh Rangi, a convict offered a chance at redemption through the mission. The name caught fans\u2019 attention because, in Uri, a dialogue between Vicky Kaushal and Kirti Kulhari\u2019s characters mentions her husband, Captain Jaskirat Singh Rangi, who was killed during an operation.<\/p>\n

About Dhurandhar<\/p>\n
Set in Pakistan, the spy thriller follows an Indian agent who infiltrates Lyari-based terror networks. The film explores themes of espionage, intelligence operations and undercover missions. Along with Ranveer and Akshaye Khanna, the cast includes Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal and R. Madhavan.<\/p>\n
Dhurandhar opened strongly at the box office and has collected over Rs. 177.74 crores so far. The film is written, directed and co-produced by Aditya Dhar, alongside Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar under Jio Studios and B62 Studios. A sequel is scheduled to release in theatres on March 19, 2026.<\/p>\n
