WASHINGTON \u2014 Singer Camryn Magness, a pop performer who shared stages with One Direction, Fifth Harmony and other major acts during her decade-long career, has died at 26.<\/p>\n
Magness\u2019 death was announced Tuesday in a statement posted to her social media accounts.<\/a><\/p>\n A cause of death was not disclosed in the announcement, but a source told People the performer died on Dec. 5<\/a> after an incident while riding an electric scooter. Her mother told TMZ\u00a0<\/a>the deadly collision happened in Miami, Florida.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cOur hearts are heavy as we mourn the loss of our beloved Camryn, a radiant force whose voice, coy and bright spirit touched so many,\u201d the post from her family on her social media accounts read. \u201cWhether beneath the waves or on stage, she met life with fearless energy and boundless kindness.\u201d<\/p>\n The tribute included a brief clip of Magness scuba diving and closed by asking for prayers as her family and friends \u201cnavigate this difficult time.\u201d<\/p>\n Miami Police told TMZ and\u00a0the Daily News<\/a> they were called on Dec. 5 \u201cfollowing a reported collision involving an electric mobility scooter and a pedestrian.\u201d Magness was the passenger on the scooter, operated by a male whose name has not been released.<\/p>\n
