2025 has been a landmark year for the rock band Deftones<\/a>. The group celebrated the thirtieth anniversary of its debut album Adrenaline while also dropping a new project, Private Music \u2013 the rock outfit\u2019s first in half a decade. Private Music was a big win upon its arrival, and several singles pushed from the project have also performed incredibly well.<\/p>\n

As multiple cuts featured on Private Music continue to rise on the Billboard charts, the first-ever Deftones single \u201cMy Own Summer (Shove It)\u201d reaches one ranking for the first time, as it seems that all things connected to the currently Grammy-nominated outfit are on the rise.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy Own Summer (Shove It)\u201d Finally Becomes a Hit<\/p>\n

\u201cMy Own Summer (Shove It)\u201d<\/a> suddenly becomes a hit in America decades after it was released. The tune, which dropped in 1997 as the lead single from Around the Fur, the second Deftones album, opens at No. 25 on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs chart<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Deftones collect just a fourth appearance on the list of the most successful hard rock cuts on platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and Tidal throughout the United States.<\/p>\n

Deftones Swap One Successful Single for Another<\/p>\n

Deftones replaces itself in last place on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs chart this week as \u201cMy Own Summer (Shove It)\u201d debuts in the lowest spot. \u201cChange (In the House of Flies),\u201d which last frame appeared at No. 25, improves to No. 19.<\/p>\n

\u201cInfinite Source\u201d by Deftones Continues Climbing <\/p>\n

\u201cInfinite Source,\u201d<\/a> the most recent single pushed from Private Music, is growing in popularity, especially as radio DJs continue to press play on the cut. \u201cInfinite Source\u201d climbs to new peaks on both the Rock & Alternative Airplay and Mainstream Rock Airplay charts, establishing never-before-seen showings as it settles at Nos. 3 and 5, respectively. <\/p>\n

The cut holds at its all-time high of No. 11 on the Alternative Airplay list and returns to the upper register on the Hot Hard Rock Songs tally, pushing from No. 12 to No. 10.<\/p>\n

Deftones Fill Three Spaces on One Billboard Chart<\/p>\n

\u201cInfinite Source\u201d is one of a trio of Deftones hits currently present on the Hot Hard Rock Songs chart, the most competitive of all singles tallies rooted in the hard rock subgenre. As \u201cInfinite Source\u201d finds its way back to the loftiest tier, \u201cMy Mind Is a Mountain,\u201d also taken from Private Music, steps up to No. 19, while \u201cI Think About You All the Time\u201d returns at No. 23.<\/p>\n

Around the Fur Returns and Debuts<\/p>\n

Fans of Deftones are clearly still loving the singles featured on Private Music, though the album itself is nowhere to be found on the Billboard charts. Two full-lengths by the group do find space, as listeners continue to tune into the projects that turned Deftones into hard rock staples so many years ago. <\/p>\n

As Around the Fur finally debuts on the Top Rock Albums ranking, it also hits new highs on the Top Hard Rock Albums, Top Alternative Albums, and Top Rock & Alternative Albums charts. Simultaneously, the project ascends to Nos. 5, 20, and 32 on those lists, respectively.<\/p>\n

Deftones Launched Around the Fur on a Different Chart Last Week<\/p>\n

This week is the second in a row in which Around the Fur has debuted on a Billboard chart<\/a>. Last time around, the decades-old studio effort arrived at No. 23 on the Top Alternative Albums list. Now, it nearly matches that position on the Top Rock Albums roster as well.<\/p>\n

Deftones claim a pair of top performers on the Top Hard Rock Albums chart, as Around the Fur reaches the top five for the first time 90 weeks into its time on the consumption-based roster. White Pony, the group\u2019s third full-length, returns.
