Jon Stewart<\/a> on Thursday shredded Donald Trump<\/a>\u2019s claim that the media reporting on his health is \u201cseditious, perhaps even treasonous<\/a>\u201d after an article in The New York Times suggested that the president is showing \u201csigns of fatigue.\u201d <\/p>\n

Stewart, in remarks<\/a> on the latest episode of his \u201cWeekly Show<\/a>\u201d podcast, joked that Trump is the \u201chealthiest, most robust president\u201d in U.S. history and he\u2019s found that the \u201cthicker the ankle, the better the balance.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cFor Donald Trump, the level of fealty can never rise to a level that is satisfactory for him. There is no level of ass-kissing you can do,\u201d Stewart said.<\/p>\n

The Times\u2019 Katie Rogers and Dylan Freedman, in their reporting last month<\/a>, wrote that Trump is working \u201cshorter days\u201d and it\u2019s gotten harder to project an image of \u201cround-the-clock energy, virility and physical stamina.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump\u2019s apparent series of mid-meeting<\/a> naps<\/a> as well as talk around his MRI<\/a> has fueled further questions around his health and cognitive fitness in recent weeks.<\/p>\n

The president took to his Truth Social platform<\/a> earlier this week to rant about the Times\u2019 reporting in a lengthy screed (again<\/a>), declaring that there\u2019s \u201cnever been a President that has worked as hard as me\u201d before adding that his hours are the \u201clongest\u201d and his results are \u201camong the best.\u201d<\/p>\n

On his podcast, Stewart said that everything is \u201cseditious\u201d to Trump that falls below Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem thanking Trump for keeping \u201cthe hurricanes away\u201d<\/a> this year at a recent Cabinet meeting.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe is angry at Fox News<\/a>, which is literally like a 24-hour-a-day, ball-washing machine for Trump and is designed specifically to keep him in power,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo for him to say something is seditious or treasonous means nothing because the bar of entry to Donald Trump is purely about how deeply you are proving your undying loyalty to the king. Anything below that, obviously, is seditious and none of us measure up, unfortunately.\u201d<\/p>\n

Stewart expressed that it\u2019s \u201csad\u201d and \u201cso hard\u201d to be a billionaire president.<\/p>\n

\u201cMoney corrupts and power corrupts and to have all the money and all the power \u2014 it\u2019s like if \u2018Lord of the Rings\u2019 ended where they\u2019re going to drop the ring into the fire and then instead of hitting the fire, he catches it,\u201d Stewart said.<\/p>\n
