HBO<\/a> have shared a series of first-look images of the main cast of Euphoria<\/a> \u2013 check them out below.<\/p>\n

The long-awaited third season of the hit teen drama will hit screens in April<\/a>, with its return coming more than four years after its second season aired. A host of factors played a part, including a halt due to the Hollywood strikes<\/a>, the unexpected death of star Angus Cloud, <\/a>and difficulties aligning the schedules for the in-demand cast.<\/p>\n

The Sam Levinson-created show is notable for having launched the careers of several actors that have since become significant stars, including\u00a0Zendaya<\/a>,\u00a0Sydney Sweeney<\/a>, Hunter Schafer and Jacob Elordi, all of whom featured in the new teaser shots shared to Instagram.<\/p>\n

On Friday (December 12), HBO surprised fans by rolling out the first look at the main cast, who in season three will have time jumped, now appearing as young adults five years on from where the show left off.<\/p>\n

As well as the shots of the cast, a new teaser clip has been shared by HBO \u2013 which you can check out below.<\/p>\n

Zendaya\u2019s Rue will find herself south of the border in Mexico and in debt to drug dealer Laurie, played by Martha Kelly, \u201ctrying to come up with some very innovative ways to pay it off,\u201d Levinson has said, per The Hollywood Reporter.<\/p>\n

Sweeney\u2018s Cassie and Elordi\u2018s Nate are now engaged and will reportedly get married in the next season, but Cassie finds herself \u201cvery addicted to social media and envious of what appears to be the big lives that all of her high school classmates are living at this point in time\u201d while settling into the suburbs with a domesticated-looking Nate.<\/p>\n

Schafer\u2018s Jules is in art school, and said to be grappling with nerves about her career as a painter, while Alexa Demi\u2019s Maddie is working at a Hollywood talent agency for a manager while having \u201cher own side hustles\u201d. Maude Apatow\u2018s Lexi is working as an assistant to a showrunner who is played by Sharon Stone.<\/p>\n

Back in October, HBO announced a slew of returning and new cast additions who\u2019ll be joining the main cast in the third instalment. Among the new cast members are Bella Podaras, Bill Bodner, Cailyn Rice, Colleen Camp, Eli Roth, Gideon Adlon, Hemky Madera, Homer Gere, Jack Topalian, Jessica Blair Herman, Kwame Patterson, Madison Thompson, Matthew Willig, Natasha Lyonne, Rebecca Pidgeon, Sam Trammell, Trisha Paytas and Danielle Deadwyler.<\/p>\n

Actors returning to the series include Alanna Ubach, Daeg Faerch, Melvin Bonez Estes, Paula Marshall, Sophia Rose Wilson, Zak Steiner and Dominic Fike.<\/p>\n

Another notable return comes from Nika King, who didn\u2019t appear on HBO\u2019s initial season three cast list back in February. King plays Rue\u2019s (Zendaya) mother, Leslie, and made headlines after quipping in a stand-up set that production delays on the show meant she couldn\u2019t pay her rent<\/a>.<\/p>\n

She will join previously announced newcomers Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Toby Wallace, Rosal\u00eda, Marshawn Lynch, Darrell Britt-Gibson, Kadeem Hardison, Priscilla Delgado, James Landry H\u00e9bert, Anna Van Patten and Asante Blackk.<\/p>\n

Information has slowly been coming through about the new season this year, with Sweeney teasing back in May that it will be\u00a0\u201cmore unhinged\u201d<\/a>\u00a0than ever.\u00a0Her co-star Elordi revealed many of the cast are filming scenes apart,<\/a>\u00a0saying of their storylines: \u201cI don\u2019t really know what anyone else is doing.
