The Ministry added that the General Authority for Civil Affairs reported that after killing Abahra, occupation forces confiscated his body.<\/p>\n
Media sources said that Israeli forces invaded Silat al-Harithiya on Saturday evening, stormed several citizens\u2019 homes, sparking protests among local Palestinians.<\/p>\n
The sources added that sharpshooters were positioned on the rooftops of homes, while soldiers fire live ammunition and concussion grenades, killing the teen.<\/p>\n
For its part, the Israeli army claimed that the slain Abahra threw an explosive device at soldiers, who opened fire at him with live ammunition, resulting in his death.<\/p>\n
In a statement, the occupation army claimed that \u201cduring an operation by a paratrooper reconnaissance unit in Silat al-Harithiya, a gunman threw an explosive device at the force. The force returned fire and killed him,\u201d adding that there were no casualties reported among its soldiers.<\/p>\n
The Jenin Battalion of the Al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad resistance group, announced that its fighters targeted a Namer armored personnel carrier with an explosive device, adding that its resistance fighters confronted the invading army in several areas of Silat al-Harithiya town.<\/p>\n
Since the beginning of the Israeli military aggression against the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, occupation forces have killed 1095 Palestinian citizens in the West Bank, including 226 children and 24 women.<\/p>\n
In the Jenin governorate,\u00a0308 Palestinians have been killed, while 213 were killed in Tulkarem, 138 in Nablus,\u00a0104 in Hebron, 98 in Tubas,\u00a081 in Ramallah, 60 in Jerusalem, 42 in Qalqilia, 31 in Bethlehem, 13 in Jericho and the Jordan Valley, and 7 in Salfit, according to the Shireen Observatory.<\/p>\n
In the\u00a0Gaza Strip<\/a>, the overall death toll since October 7, 2023 has increased to 70,654 including women and children, while at least 171,095 Palestinians have sustained various degrees of injuries as a result of Israel\u2019s military onslaught.<\/p>\n
