Seven hospitals in New Jersey have received the Leapfrog Group\u2019s \u201cTop Hospital Award\u201d for excellence in patient safety and quality of care.<\/p>\n

The national watchdog organization announced the recipients of its prestigious award on Monday at the 2025 Leapfrog Annual Meeting and Awards Dinner. A total of 156 hospitals in the United States earned the 2025 Top Hospital Award<\/a>, including:<\/p>\n

15 children\u2019s hospitals52\u00a0general hospitals16 rural hospitals73\u00a0teaching hospitals<\/p>\n

This year, four New Jersey teaching hospitals and three general hospitals made the cut.<\/p>\n

The award is given to the highest-performing hospitals on the Leapfrog Hospital Survey. To be eligible, each recipient must have received an \u201cA\u201d in the most recent round of scoring.<\/p>\n

According to Leapfrog, Top Hospitals have better systems in place to prevent medication errors, higher quality maternity care and lower infection rates.<\/p>\n
