\n\tSabrina Carpenter<\/a> tucked a few blink-and-you-miss-it details into her \u201cManchild<\/a>\u201d video. On Thursday, the pop star teamed up with Vevo for a new Footnotes episode, sharing her favorite outfits and the inpspiration about the Man\u2019s Best Friend<\/a> single\u2019s visual.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe shoot was intended to be a 2-day shoot, but ended up being a three-day shoot once I realized I wanted more scenes in it. It was 35!!! outfits total,\u201d Carpenter revealed at the start of the video. \u201cMy sister also hand-stitched \u2018manchild\u2019 on my jean shorts.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHer favorite look, however, was \u201cthe red sequin dress from the bridge scene,\u201d she said, though Carpenter noted that \u201cthe whole video was built around the white tie-up shirt and jean shorts.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe video\u2019s co-directors, Vania Heymann and Gal Muggia, said their goal was to create a trailer for a \u201cnonsensical forgotten film,\u201d inspired by \u201cself-revelation films, Americana, and a kind of disco-era sensuality.\u201d For Carpenter, the \u201cmusic video wheels started to turn pretty quickly\u201d after recording the song in the studio.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe video also reveals several Easter eggs, including an acronym for the album title, Man\u2019s Best Friend, hidden on a license plate \u2014 a detail fans didn\u2019t catch until Carpenter announced the album. She also shared her admiration for Lucille Ball, whom she drew inspiration from.<\/p>\n
