Kristin Cabot, the former human resources chief who was caught canoodling<\/a> with her CEO Andy Byron at a Coldplay concert, revealed that she encountered some serious harassment amid the fallout.<\/p>\n

In an interview with the New York Times<\/a> published Thursday, December 18, the 53-year-old admitted that she was at a loss following the viral moment.<\/p>\n

She was swiftly met with backlash for her behavior, and both she and Byron left their positions<\/a> at the company Astronomer.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t know what to do to support my kids correctly,\u201d she told the Times, revealing that she and her family would be called out in public.<\/p>\n

The publication reported that Cabot would receive messages, including some that were allegedly threatening or intimidating in nature.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know you shop at Market Basket and I\u2019m coming for you,\u201d read one, she said.<\/p>\n

Cabot told the Times that she played one of the messages for her mother over speakerphone \u2014 and her teenage son and daughter were able to hear.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey were already in really bad shape, and that\u2019s when the wheels fell off the cart,\u201d Cabot said. \u201cBecause my kids were afraid that I was going to die and they were going to die.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Cabot, she was separated from her husband, Andrew Cabot, at the time of the concert. She has claimed that she didn\u2019t have a sexual affair with Byron, and that the Coldplay outing was the first and only time that they kissed.<\/p>\n

\u201cI made a bad decision and had a couple of High Noons and danced and acted inappropriately with my boss,\u201d she admitted. \u201cI took accountability, and I gave up my career for that. That\u2019s the price I chose to pay. I want my kids to know that you can make mistakes, and you can really screw up. But you don\u2019t have to be threatened to be killed for them.\u201d<\/p>\n
