Karen says she joined the show because she’d lost her
\nconfidence. “I’ve found a spark and a passion and a fight in me that I’ve
\nnot had for many years”, she says.<\/p>\n

If like me, you\u2019re wondering how one dances to Texas\u2019s Inner
\nSmile in the style of ballroom or Latin… the answer is obviously with a
\nsped-up, club version played by an in-house band (it is Strictly, after all).<\/p>\n

Picked because Karen is a massive fan of the Scottish band
\nand friends with lead singer Sharleen Spiteri, the track serves as the perfect
\nbackdrop to a routine that is full of joy.<\/p>\n

They’re wearing what I can only describe as camp
\nmilitary-style, bejewelled pyjamas. <\/p>\n

Fabulous.<\/p>\n

There’s turns, slides, and a tremendous amount of fancy
\nfootwork.<\/p>\n

Shirley says it was a little bit out of sync in some places,
\nalthough she liked it, but Anton says it was Carlos who couldn’t keep up. He
\nadds that it was “just divine”.<\/p>\n

“That was the best bits of you, absolutely
\nmagnificent,” he says.<\/p>\n
