Jacob Tierney<\/a> is spilling a little tea about the upcoming Heated Rivalry<\/a> season finale. <\/p>\n

The hit Crave original series, based on the book of the same name by Rachel Reid, will air it\u2019s last episode of it\u2019s first season next week.<\/p>\n

In a new interview, Jacob, who serves as creator, writer and director, teased the finale episode, as well as the possibility of a longer second season<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re going to finally get the joy that we wanted from the beginning \u2014 just queer joy, pure happiness and sweetness and love and all that other good stuff,\u201d he told Gold Derby<\/a> about the final two episodes. \u201cI\u2019m confident in these last two episodes.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cMy favorite scenes are all in Episodes 5 and 6. They\u2019re such different episodes,\u201d Jacob shared. \u201cEpisode 5 is so big and so much happens and 6 is so small and so intimate. I just watched the finale this morning because I had to sign off on a bunch of things and it\u2019s so nice to be with the two of them for that long. Those moments matter to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are so many scenes in the fifth episode that are heartbreaking and also funny and sweet and cute,\u201d he continued. \u201cAnd then Episode 6 is like a little two-hander that\u2019s so wonderful. It will give our obsessive fans two big needle drops, so get ready for two new favorite songs.\u201d <\/p>\n

He also addressed fan theories that the season will end on a cliffhanger. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt doesn\u2019t matter if they know what\u2019s coming because if you do any amount of Googling, you\u2019re going to find out how the f\u2013king show ends! It\u2019s the journey,\u201d Jacob said. \u201cI keep reading people [saying] it\u2019s going to end on a cliffhanger. I don\u2019t comment but the last episode is called \u2018The Cottage.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Many fans want more episodes of the show, and since the first season became so popular are hoping that season two will be longer. <\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know if you\u2019re going to get that. But you\u2019re going to get a lot of content,\u201d Jacob teased about season two. \u201cEveryone\u2019s pretty committed to this universe, in this world. So it\u2019s going to be OK. It\u2019s going to be good.\u201d <\/p>\n
