Saturday Night Live<\/a> paid tribute to Rob Reiner<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n Less than a week after the filmmaker and his wife, Michele Reiner<\/a>, were killed<\/a> by their son, Nick Reiner<\/a>, the late-night comedy sketch series included a nod to Rob \u2014 who hosted the third episode of SNL back in October 1975. (The show premiered<\/a> earlier that month on Oct. 11.)\n<\/p>\n During the Dec. 20 episode<\/a>, a tribute card appeared just before the show’s goodnights segment<\/a>, showing a throwback photo of Rob.\n<\/p>\n The episode, SNL’s last of 2025, saw Ariana Grande<\/a>\u00a0serve as host and\u00a0Cher<\/a> perform as the musical guest. They were 78 and 70, respectively. Their son, Nick, 32, who has dealt with mental health issues and drug addiction since his teen years<\/a>, has been\u00a0charged<\/a>\u00a0with two counts of first-degree murder in connection with their deaths.\n<\/p>\n The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner released the causes of death for Rob and Michele<\/a> on Wednesday, Dec. 17, three days after they were found dead. Play now!<\/a>\n<\/p>\n Nick made his\u00a0first appearance in court<\/a>\u00a0on Dec. 17. He wore a blue anti-suicide smock and shackles<\/a>, and his attorney,\u00a0Alan Jackson<\/a>, declined to enter a plea for his client.
