HONOLULU\u2013University of Hawai’i men’s tennis head coach Hendrik Bode announced the signing of graduate transfer S\u00f6ren Grandke who will join the Rainbow Warriors in the Fall of 2026. Grandke is a 6-7 right-hander from Dreiech, Germany.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Grandke is a transfer from Azuza Pacific (Division II) who has one year of eligibility left. The 2024 PacWest Freshman of the Year recorded a 21-2 singles record with an 18-3 mark in doubles to help lead the Cougars to the conference title. During the 2024 season, he became just the seventh Cougar in history to tally 20+ single-season singles wins as a rookie. Last season, Grandke went 26-2 playing primarily at No. 2 in singles. In doubles with five different partners, notched a 19-8 overall record.<\/p>\n

Throughout the recruiting process, it became clear that he’s not only a great player but also a great person and teammate, qualities we value highly within our program. At 6’7”, S\u00f6ren brings a ton of upside with his serve and a commanding presence on court. We look forward to seeing him develop and make an immediate impact in our program.”
