Jadon Sancho has been supported by fellow Manchester United outcast Marcus Rashford after a cryptic message on his social media. Sancho and Rashford joined Aston Villa and Barcelona on loan, respectively, this past summer with the attackers enduring very different temporary spells thus far.<\/p>\n
A direct goal contribution is yet to arrive for Sancho at Villa Park with the 25-year-old playing just 529 minutes in all competitions. Rashford meanwhile, has featured far more regularly in Spain with seven goals and 11 assists from 24 appearances.<\/p>\n
Given the attacking quality at Hansi Flick’s disposal, the 28-year-old has been forced to make several of his appearances from the bench. That was the case this past weekend for his side’s La Liga win over Villareal with the Spanish media issuing a clear verdict on his cameo<\/a>.<\/p>\n Sancho has not made it off the bench in two of Villa’s last three league games with Unai Emery side on an impressive run. Their latest triumph came against United with Sancho ineligible to play against his parent club.<\/p>\n In the wake of that clash, Sancho has uploaded a number of pictures to his Instagram <\/a>page. One of those includes a quote that reads: “You gotta serve a purpose to be around me in my new season. It’s real personal.”<\/p>\n Content cannot be displayed without consent<\/p>\n Rashford, Bruno Fernandes and Tyrell Malacia were the United players to like his post while Villa stars Amadou Onana, Matty Cash and Ian Maatsen commented.<\/p>\n Sancho’s next start for Villa is likely to be in the FA Cup<\/a> third round clash against Tottenham in early January. Before then, Emery’s side have a very challenging schedule as they face Arsenal, Chelsea<\/a> and Crystal Palace away from home alongside a clash against Nottingham Forest on home soil.<\/p>\n United meanwhile, are at the opposite end of the spectrum and arguably have the easiest games over the festive period. After hosting Newcastle United, who have won just once away from home in the league, United welcome Wolves to Old Trafford<\/a>.<\/p>\n Ruben Amorim’s side then travel to newly-promoted Leeds United and Burnley in early 2026. Unfortunately, United may need to navigate those fixtures without club captain Bruno Fernandes after he appeared to suffer a hamstring injury <\/a>against Villa.<\/p>\n Amorim said after the game: “Bruno has an injury that we need to assess. I think he’s not going to play for a few games, but we’ll see.<\/p>\n “Last year we had the same situation at this time, so it is not going to kill us – it is going to make us stronger.”<\/p>\n For well over a month, United have been without Harry Maguire and Matthijs de Ligt while Kobbie Mainoo has also picked up a minor issue<\/a>.<\/p>\n With Amad, Bryan Mbeumo and Noussair Mazraoui are away at AFCON over the coming weeks, United could have done with players like Sancho or Rashford.<\/p>\n![\"Bruno](\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/0_Aston-Villa-v-Manchester-United-Premier-League.jpg\")
