ANN ARBOR, Mich. — The second-ranked University of Michigan men’s basketball team (11-0) will close the 2025 calendar year on Monday (Dec. 29), hosting McNeese (10-2) for Fan Appreciation Night at Crisler Center. The 7 p.m. matchup comes exactly two years to the day after the teams’ only prior meeting, an 87\u201376 Cowboy victory on Dec. 29, 2023. The game will stream on B1G+, with Jay Wilson and Brian Butch on the call.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Michigan is one of six remaining undefeated teams nationally, joined by No. 1 Arizona (12-0), No. 3 Iowa State (12-0), Miami (Ohio) (13-0), No. 13 Nebraska (12-0) and No. 11 Vanderbilt (12-0). U-M’s 11-0 start marks the sixth time the Wolverines have opened a season undefeated through 11 games. It is the best start since 2020-21, when U-M began 11-0 en route to a Big Ten title and an Elite Eight appearance.<\/p>\n
\u2022 The Wolverines have six 100-point games this season and have topped the century mark in five of their last six, averaging 99.3 points per game during that stretch. U-M ranks third nationally at 95.4 points per game.<\/p>\n
\u2022 U-M has recorded 25+ assists in four of its last five games; in those four contests, 75 percent of made field goals have come off an assist. U-M ranks third nationally at 21.6 assists per game.<\/p>\n
\u2022 From beyond the arc, U-M averages 10.8 three-pointers per game and has hit 10+ threes in six of its last seven contests.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Yaxel Lendeborg<\/a> has been preforming well inside, shooting 80.4 percent (37-for-46) on two-point attempts while leading Michigan at 15.6 points per game.<\/p>\n \u2022 Lendeborg has dished 14 assists over his last two games, including a career-best nine at Maryland.<\/p>\n \u2022 Elliot Cadeau<\/a> caught fire in December, scoring in double figures in every game, averaging 13.7 points. He is shooting 63.4 percent from the field and 52.6 percent from long range (10-for-19), accounting for half of his season total (20).<\/p>\n \u2022 Cadeau remains the lone Wolverine to make at least one three-pointer in every game this season. He has made 20 three-pointers, which is already more than half of his two-year total at North Carolina (39).<\/p>\n \u2022 Trey McKenney<\/a> has scored double figures in five of his last six games. He leads U-M with 23 three-pointers with three or more triples in four games this season.<\/p>\n
