Shreveport, La. \u2013 Coastal Carolina opened the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl with a strong first half but fell 23\u201314 to Louisiana Tech on Tuesday afternoon at Independence Stadium.<\/p>\n The Chanticleers struck first in the opening quarter when quarterback Tad Hudson<\/a> connected with Dominic Knicely<\/a> on a 20-yard touchdown pass to cap a crisp opening drive. Coastal continued to build momentum in the second quarter, as Hudson found Robby Washington<\/a> in the end zone from 16 yards out to give the Chanticleers a 14\u20133 lead heading into halftime.<\/p>\n Coastal’s offense moved the ball efficiently through the air in the first half, while the defense limited Louisiana Tech to a pair of field goals over the first three quarters. The Bulldogs closed the gap with scores late in the third and early in the fourth quarter before pulling ahead in the final period.<\/p>\n Hudson finished the afternoon with over 300 passing yards, joining Grayson McCall<\/a> as the only Coastal quarterbacks to have reached that mark.\u00a0Bryson Graves<\/a> led the receiving corps with a team-high total in catches and yards, while the Chanticleers’ defense recorded four takeaways.<\/p>\n Coastal ends the 2025 season (6-7).\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
