Ice Spice is a girl\u2019s girl. On Tuesday (Sept. 15), the \u201cDid It First\u201d rapper stopped by \u201cBaby, This is Keke Palmer,\u201d where she praised Cardi B<\/a> for giving women in rap \u201chope.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI feel like Cardi B definitely brought back that hope [that] girls could rap, because for a long time, Nicki [Minaj] seemed so unattainable,\u201d Ice Spice told the show\u2019s eponymous host. \u201cYou know, that\u2019s part of the lore of why I was so obsessed because I\u2019m like, \u2018Only she could do it.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Although the internet loves to pit her against both, Ice Spice has technically collaborated with Minaj and Cardi. She teamed up with the former on 2023\u2019s \u201cPrincess Diana (Remix)\u201d and again on \u201cBarbie World\u201d the following year. Meanwhile, Cardi hopped on a remix of the Y2K! artist\u2019s \u201cMunch (Feelin\u2019 U)\u201d but ultimately didn’t release it because she didn\u2019t love how she sounded<\/a>.<\/p>\n Being co-signed by Nicki Minaj, Ice Spice said, felt \u201ccrazy, crazy, crazy.\u201d She added, \u201cI always wanted that to be the case, but when it happens, you\u2019re like, \u2018Whoa, is this real life?\u2019 Two records with her, I was gassed. Of course, I still am.\u201d<\/p>\n On why she didn\u2019t sign to Minaj\u2019s Heavy On It Records<\/a>, Ice explained, \u201cI was already signed when she was trying to sign me, so I think that\u2019s where the hiccups were.
