My Kitchen Rules<\/a>\u2019 controversial duo Mel and Jacinta<\/a> may have been eliminated this week, but it appears Michael<\/a> has found a new team to butt heads with. The self-proclaimed \u2018Meat Master\u2019<\/a>, who is competing alongside his partner Rielli<\/a>, sat opposite Gatecrashers Amy and Lara in Tuesday night\u2019s episode, and it didn\u2019t take long for the outspoken contestants to clash.<\/p>\n

Michael grilled the Queensland divorcees about their intentions coming into the competition, with Lara arguing that they didn\u2019t owe the other teams any information about their \u201cstrategy\u201d. Michael then called the pair \u201ccuckoo\u201d and said it was impossible to have a conversation with them because they\u2019re \u201con another planet\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cSorry, are you the captain of the table? I think the meat\u2019s getting to your head,\u201d Amy remarked, with Lara adding, \u201cLet\u2019s listen to the Meat Master!\u201d.<\/p>\n

Michael was quick to clap back and left the entire table shocked with his brutal remark, saying: \u201cWell, let\u2019s listen to the blonde bimbo!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m actually a redhead,\u201d Lara responded.<\/p>\n

Viewers were quick to call out Michael on social media following his harsh insult, describing him as \u201crude\u201d, \u201cimmature\u201d, and \u201cinappropriate\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter that comment, he should be off the program,\u201d one person wrote, while another added, \u201cI bet Michael’s mum and dad are shattered and horrified at their son’s behaviour on this show!\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe needs to put a sock in it, he\u2019s making a fool of himself,\u201d a third remarked, followed by someone else who said, \u201cLove that out Brissie baes are ready to cut the blokes down to size that give them grief\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt’s now beyond a joke, this show is no longer about cooking and food. It’s about arguing and running people down while the judges just sit back,\u201d a different user replied.<\/p>\n

‘A bit of fun’<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, others praised Michael for being \u201chonest\u201d and said they were enjoying the drama on this year\u2019s season of MKR.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve grown to like Michael, he\u2019s a stirrer but harmless and a bit of fun,\u201d one viewer commented, with someone else writing, \u201cMichael keeps running his big mouth but he\u2019s always bringing the drama and the entertainment around the table, I\u2019m here for it\u201d.<\/p>\n

Who are Amy and Lara?<\/p>\n

Queensland mums Amy and Lara are one of three new teams hitting the road for the second round of Instant Restaurants alongside Perth couple Danielle and Marko and South Australian competitive mates Mark and Tan.<\/p>\n

Amy is a self-taught, occasional private chef who describes herself as \u201ca stay-at-home mum navigating a divorce\u201d, while Lara is a tech consultant with a wicked sense of humour and a passion for food.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve loved cooking since I was little and wanted to be a baker by the time I was two,\u201d Amy said. \u201cI grew up on a farm, where I loved cooking with homegrown food and catching fresh food.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMy love of eating and watching my family entertain inspired me,\u201d Lara shared. \u201cDad was the freestyle \u2018a bit of this, a bit of that\u2019 type of cook, while Mum was recipe faithful. I\u2019m the hybrid child of both.\u201d<\/p>\n
